A growing number of children at High Point Camp suffer from a life threatening allergy to peanuts and all nut products. Due to the seriousness of this allergy, we are requesting that parents NOT send peanut butter or any other peanut or nut products to camp this summer. We will provide you with a convenient list of suggested items that are peanut or peanut product free to use as your guide. We hope this will make lunch packing less stressful. Remember to always check all ingredients of the food you pack. Anything that contains nuts or "may contain nuts" will be sent back home. Every Wednesday the camp serves a special hot lunch: pizza or barbequed hot-dogs. On Fridays, campers receive the ever popular Friday goodies - a scrumptious snack to enjoy at the end of fun week at camp. On overnights and "undernights," a yummy supper is served and we often roast marshmallows over a bonfire before slipping into our sleeping bags for the night; breakfast is eaten the next morning before going home. At the end of the summer, High Point hosts its annual Banquet - campers and staff return to camp in the evening for dinner and some special evening activities. We do our best to accommodate all personal tastes such as kosher and vegetarian. Be sure to notify the Directors of any special dietary concerns or requests.
